Delete Your Spotshunt Account
We're sorry to see you go. Follow the steps below to permanently delete your Spotshunt account and all associated data.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: From Settings Screen
- 1Open the Spotshunt app on your device
- 2Tap on your Profile tab at the bottom
- 3Tap on Settings (gear icon)
- 4In profile information grid, tap "Delete"
- 5Read the warning message carefully
- 6Confirm by tapping "Delete Account"
Option 2: From Edit Profile Screen
- 1Open the Spotshunt app on your device
- 2Tap on your Profile tab at the bottom
- 3Tap "Edit Profile"
- 4Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
- 5Confirm your decision when prompted
Option 3: Request via Email
If you're unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by email:
- 1Send an email to support@spotshunt.com
- 2Use subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- 3Include your registered email address in the email body
- 4We will verify your identity and process your request within 7 business days

What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:
- Profile information (name, email, phone number)
- Profile photo
- XP points and level progress
- Discovered spots and visit history
- Completed challenges and achievements
- Reward redemption history
- Referral history and invite codes
- App preferences and settings
Data Retention
Some data may be retained for legal and business purposes:
Transaction records
Reason: Required for sponsor reconciliation and legal compliance
Retention period: 90 days
Anonymized analytics data
Reason: Used for platform improvement (no personal identifiers)
Retention period: Indefinite
Important: This Action is Irreversible
- • Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
- • All your XP points will be lost forever
- • Any unused rewards will be forfeited
- • You will need to create a new account to use Spotshunt again
- • Your username may become available for other users
